Let’s face it. Social media has become a vital marketing tool to not only stay connected with our patients, but to also attract new ones. A recent survey showed that in addition to checking online reviews, people looking for a new dentist check the office’s social media accounts before making a decision to contact the practice.
With recognizing the importance of social media, many offices decided to get on not just one, but several of the popular platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The next decision that had to be made was who was going to be in charge of this additional task and responsibility. Up until recently there were the following two options:
#1. In-House. Assign or hire a team member to create the social media accounts, research and look for content, create posts and maintain them consistently.
#2. Outsource and hire a company to handle it for you. Keep in mind that they will still need to communicate with someone in the office that will email them pictures of the team and inform themof any office events, news or promotions. This will help the company create organic posts for your office. Now I’ve done some research and some companies charge around $300/mo for this service.
So let’s say you don’t want to pay a company that much money every month and you want to keep it in-house. The struggle that I’m constantly hearing from offices is where do we find content? Some team members spend hours searching for dental articles or something fun or funny to post.
So I’m happy to announce that there is now a 3rd option that is a hybrid of the other two. I recently found a company called, The Sociable Dentist that has an extensive library of articles, quotes and images at your employee’s finger tips to help save them time. No more searching for content and brainstorming to come up with creative posts. The good news is The Sociable Dentist charges a little less than a third of what other companies charge. I had the privilege of interviewing co-owner, Jenise Walker who gives a short demo on how it works.
Watch the full demo below:
*If you don’t have time to watch the 20 minute demo, you can visit their website at www.thesociabledentist.com. But very important, in the demo Jenise mentions a special offer. Starting in September she is giving away a 60 day free trial for anyone watching this video or reading my blog. All you have to do is mention my name, Candice Martin. But since my blog is coming out at the end of the month, Jenise also agreed to extend the 60 day free trial beyond September. The best thing is after the trial if you like the product, the monthly cost is only $79/mo instead of the regular price of $99/mo.
If your practice has social media accounts and your trying to find a better way, I encourage you to check out The Sociable Dentist. I found that all the content is really current and modern looking. She even mentions that a couple of her posts have gone viral, so they are obviously doing something right.
If you have questions or want further information, you can email or call Jenise and she will be happy to help you.
